Mamelodi vaccine sites application overview

Our current project, Mamelodi vaccine sites, helps our client, The Department of Health, retrieve the information they require for the (potential) COVID-19 vaccine distribution for the healthsites found within the area of Mamelodi, Gauteng, South Africa. Our application, which is found on our website under the "Web Map" page, is a web map showing the healthsites of Mamelodi, including the hospitals, pharmacies and clinics; the catchment areas created by Frontline GIS Solutions, around each healthsite; the census per ward of Mamelodi; the roads in Mamelodi and places of interest to help with navigational purposes. Our application also has a form which has an empty input box where the user will fill in the number of vaccines they have available for distribution. After this has been submitted, a calculation is done to distribute all the vaccines available to the healthsites found within Mamelodi; the calculation distributes vaccines according to the population that is served in each healthsite’s catchment area. The result is displayed into the table under the form in the final column and assigned to each healthsite, respectively.
